If you are a strong auditory learner, give this book a listen. And some of the things they refer to require some hunting to find, which was frustrating. But it is hard to tell, because there are books and materials on it not from this group of authors, so it isn't clear if it is their website or a third party's. Lastly, they refer regularly to their website as. There are a LOT of acronyms and steps to the recommendations, and for people like me who listen during the mundane tasks of life or while driving, it would have been so helpful to have had a glossary style PDF of these terms and concepts to refer back to. Even more importantly, this audiobook needs a PDF. Having them share these examples, would have been more helpful, as would a third voice (even if it was the reader acting a third voice). It got confusing when the same reader was doing two different voices AND break-through narration. There are many examples in the book of conversations and how the tools could be used. They alternated who read each chapter, and I think it would have been more effective if they had split up the content more like a script. They sounded engaged and energetic, which is often lacking when researchers read their own books. Gregory and Grenny generally did a great job of presenting the content. I often listen to books like this and didn't anticipate how difficult this one would be. I chose the audio book because, quite frankly, I was approaching a highly critical conversation and did not have time to read the actual book. There is a TON of great information in here, that has made me rethink how I engage in difficult conversations.
